Better late than never!

So you may have thought I dropped off the planet for the past few months, and honestly I have hardly had a chance to read the blog, so i apologize for my slacking and wish happy birthdays and anniversaries to everyone who I have missed. Although, thinking about it, maybe by giving sparse contributions to the blog, it will heighten the importance of what I post, even if it is meaningless, and I can knock out all my happy birthdays with one sentence. My life has mostly been insanely busy, with both work and my duties know as a chair and cabinet member at united way. If I am not working, almost every other minute is meeting with some committee or having a conference call for united way. I can't say that I don't enjoy it all though, because I do, but it is a lame excuse for falling off on my DIM blog posting. The most exciting thing I have done lately though was go on a cruise to the Bahamas, which was quite relaxing and a great break from the craziness. My next big break will be LBI and I am already really excited. I can't wait to see you all and hope everyone else is doing well. I wont' bore you with anymore mundane details of my life since I last participated in the blog, but I will make an honest effort to lead the NC Mahoneys in DIM blogging. P.S. I dont know if anyone looked more into some of the things on the site with the elf dance, but recently a video surfaced at work of me and several co workers with the bodies of exotic male dancers doing some pretty crazy dance moves. Im not sure how approrpiate it would be to post, but I would reccomend looking into some more of the available videos/dances. Be DIM or be drastically tardy on your blog posting!

I am so glad to hear you are still on board with LBI. Your cousins would have been so disappointed! Last week in August!!!!

Well, since you finally posted, your birthday post won't be as drastic as it might have been : )

Happy belated Birthday Michael! It sounds like your life is very full these days & I can't wait to hear all about it while sitting on the beach in LBI!

Let's see what you can do about rousing your father for us. We still haven't had an "official" yay or nay from him, we just put him down as a yay!

BTW Michael--i was so distracted by the dance video idea that i forgot to congratulate you on being a chair and cabinet member for united way--very cool. I do want to hear about that too. I guess i'm pretty shallow--jokes seem to catch my attention before meaningful altruistic work. Ah well. . be dim or be dimwitted
