This was at the Wool Shed in Dublin. It was one of our regular pubs there because they had pitchers of Foster's for 10 Euros. It was an Australian/New Zealand/South African pub. I don't know how that works, but that's what they said.

This was another picture from St. Stephen's Park Green in Dublin.

This is at the top of the Guinness Brewery, the Sky Lounge I think it was called. As you can see by the level of our drinks, taking a picture to commemorate the moment was not our first priority (this would never have happened if mother had been present).

This is from New Years at Temple Bar. Guinness in hand.

This was taken at a club that we went to. The two guys are Irish roommates of one of my friends in the program. They play hurling.

This is from Dublin in front of the Jameson Distillery. Evidently, it's the old distillery, though. The one where they actually make Jameson now is in Cork.

This is the view from the hill overlooking Crosshaven. Out at the very end is a lighthouse.

This is the house where I stayed for a weekend. Small but nice.

This is the view from St. Finnbar's Cathedral, looking out over the rest of the city. One of the few clear days we've had.

This is St. Finnbar's Cathedral. Very impressive, and one of the most prominent landmarks in Cork.

This is the Red Abbey. Only the tower survived, but it's pretty cool because it's literally tucked into all kinds of houses and apartments. It was hard to find.

This is about a hundred yards from my apartment. It's the River Lee, and the church is the Holy Trinity Church.

This is the outside of my apartment building. It's one of the newer buildings for students. My window is the third small square one from the ground.

This is my room in Cork. It's not very big, but I have my own bathroom.

Thanks for the photos Jamie! I loved seeing them all. Your landscapes and pix of Churches look very picturesque. I think your Uncle Kevin and Aunt Betty might recognize the Guinness Sky Lounge from our trip to Dublin. Your homestay house seems charming. Looks like she has several fireplaces. Is that how she heats the house? It is nice to see your room, looks like they gave you pink bedding. LOL. But you got the free bedding. Great photos!
By the way, we all went to a professional hurling match at Croke Park in Dublin, thanks to Uncle Danny. Have you seen your Irish friends play the sport? I hope you get on that rugby team and JUST WATCH the hurling. (That is a Mom speaking). I can't believe I am suggesting rugby is less dangerous than some other sport. Hurling is pretty amazing to watch, though.
Yes - I do remember the view from The Guinness Brewery. Betty didn't like Guinness so I had two. Our apartment was walking distance.
Did you get your little drop of Guinness to take home?
I remember you could smell the brewery from blocks away.
Sounds like fun. You're going to school over there - aren't you?
Looks like you are having quite the trip! Love the pictures, keep them coming!
