India

Hello, Is anyone out there anymore on Forever DIM? I am safely in India and quite amazed by the country. It is very exotic and colorful. I am currently in the middle of the city just south of New Delhi. The streets are congested with cows, buffalo, rickshaws, and fast-moving little cars. The air is warm but hazy with smog. Women are wrapped in the most vibrant colors, red is the color of life. So far, we are preparing for work in the rural areas starting tomorrow, Monday. Our sponsor here is a retired Major General in the militray and invited us to his home for tea. Tea was served with many new finger foods. Then coffee was served with some cookies! Next week, we will attend a traditional Indian wedding of one of his cousins' children. Apparently, a wedding invitation goes to a house and includes houseguests and all family. He considers us houseguests. So, that should be quite an experience. The groom rides in on a horse, for one thing. Well, I need to go back to work, but I wanted to send a message to you. Also, I forgot to bring a list of everyone's email address. If you write to me at , I can read your email on webmail and reply! Love to all of you, Maureen
