A 3 hour tour...

Mom and Dad have begun what will be much longer than a "3 hour tour" up the Hudson and down the Erie Canal back to Rochester with the new boat. This (luckily for Mom) is NOT the boat they are cruising back in. I checked in briefly today. They got off to a slow start - the tide was coming in (or maybe it was out). Either way, they were working against it, and were only getting about 5 or so miles an hour. By the time I spoke with her, they were going with the tide and moving at double their earlier pace. Mom says there are some gorgeous homes right on the water along the river. They slept on the boat last night for the first time and she reports back that they both thought it was actually really comfortable. I'll be checking in (as long as they get cell reception and can recharge along the way) and will be posting updates to the blog for you per her instructions. Until then....
