Jack Cushwa Returns from School!

JACK GOES TO SCHOOL PART II
Kristin reports on the end of Jack's school day-- The new and revised first day of school was HYSTERICAL. The story gets better - no pics of him getting off the bus, because he never got ON the bus to come home. I got a call on my cell from his teacher while standing at the end of the driveway waiting for him. It seems that in the afternoon he has to transfer buses, getting on a new #169 at his school, take that to the intermediate school, get off that one and THEN get on bus #29 to come home. He did not know that. 20 other kindergarteners did not know that. The teachers DID NOT KNOW THAT. All these kids and teachers waited and waited, and waited for bus #29 to show up. It never did. Finally, the guidance counselor (I guess also in charge of bus route info) realizes she forgot to tell all the teachers about this transfer issue. My almost 60 year old mother in law has fears, and is not good at, transfering flights when flying. Not sure why they think that a 5 year old would be good at this concept either. Soooo, Jack got picked up at the end of the day today in a car by mom, I, and the girls. Unphased, he was only disappointed that he hadn't gotten to ride a bus home at the end of the day. Other than that, he seems to have had a great day and is looking forward to going back tomorrow (if for nothing else to get that promised return ride home on the bus). The typical "favorite part of school" for a boy answer seems to start early though. When asked what his favorite part of school was - gym and recess.
