Wondering what Danny was doing last week? I figured nothing much, because I talked to him on Halloween. (BTW, he lost the pumpkin carving contest again. Go figure.)
"What's new with you Danny?"
"Oh nothing."
We chatted about possible plans for another Amish trip next spring; he updated me on the kids; shared fun anecdotes about his travels with the folks.
We were on the phone for at least 45 minutes.
Plenty of time to mention a little something about the SURGERY he was having!!!!
If you want an explanation of what kind of surgery, click here If you want to know even more about a torn meniscus, click here.
Danny--even if you don't want to blog, you could mention these little details. Even a technophobe such as yourself has surely learned how to e-mail. Or use that fancy device they call a telephone. . .
Now, for the disclaimer. I only know about this because Dad told me. So it might not be a torn meniscus. It could be that he had surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. . . or tennis elbow. But Dad thinks its a torn meniscus, so unless you actually share some news yourself, Danny, we will depend on Dad for accurate up-to-date info--
Sorry you didn't get your traditional pre-surgery package--it only shows up when the "pre-surgery package elves" know you are having surgery.
Nancy--you have a little 'splainin' to do.
Maureen--see--it doesn't just happen to you!

I also found out after the fact!!!! Imagine the nurse in the family finding out post-operatively!! I did speak to Dan over the weekend, after finding out about the surgery and he seems to be doing very well! Really likes "being waited on" I did inform him that it would be short lived so to prepare himself!
Have you thought of Yearbooking Dan's knee photo?!
No yearbook pic for the knee--with his lurking and information withholding, Danny not get off that easy. We will us his pic (perhaps with the infamous ha) to concoct a truly suitable photoshop experience for danny.
Be DIM or be in the doghouse--and experience the wrath of the Yearbook Warriors
I tried yearbooking the photo of the knee. It actually worked because the white articular cartilage areas look like 'eyes'and the posterior cruciate ligament looks like a 'nose'. However, it also looked kind of creepy, so I didn't save it!
BTW, I just realized that 'infamous ha' is code for infamous hat! Ha, ha!
not even code, just bad typing
