Hey Nerds!
I'll be down at the LBI house from Sunday the 23rd to Tuesday the 25th... Nothing says summer at the Jersey Shore like wiffle ball, right? I was thinking about setting up a big Mahoney family wiffle game on the beach for Sunday afternoon. A little friendly competition amonst family never hurt, right? Think about your involvement... either playing or cheering from the sidelines. We would ideally need 4 or 5 people a side but could do with more or less. I may or may not be fashioning some kind of trophy. No promises though, as I do tend to make empty promises.
I used to look at the trophy case in the old house in Nyack with awe... Now I'm a little older I have trouble believing any of those commemorated in that case ever possessed athletic ability of any kind. Yes, that's a (playfully disrespectful) challenge.

Fantastic!!!!!! Talking trash, I love it!!
And in order to keep hurt feelings out of it as much as possible, no picking teams. I'll just divy it up as equitably as I can... but we'll try to keep immediate family units in tact! Get excited
Cagatay & I are both in!
I'M IN! Great idea. And the title is yours. Having held titles--i can tell you you will live to regret it.
I think however, we should purposely split families--make it a little more interesting don't you think?
(the suggestions will start flying now--the tide is rising--ask your dad what that one means--it's the corollary to the red shirt
be DIM or be Director of Athletics!
Does the Director of Athletics have to bring the volleyball & net?
I think he does. UNDERTOW!
John and I are in, with Jack, Betsy, and Millie substituting for us as deemed necessary.
haha he explained the red shirt... as the DIM AEC, I can delegate right? Volleyball net & ball responsibilities hereby bestowed on Patrick Thomas
wow--you're good!
Be DIM or be delegated to!
So does the Director at least bring the wiffle ball equipment?
