Never too young to be DIM...

Say hello to the newest (and final) Cushwa - Calvin Walker Cushwa. Just missing Papa's birthday, he arrived the day after, September 18th at 2:21 in the afternoon. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz., 18 and 3/4 in. long, and has a 14" noggin. He's healthy, happy, and adorable to stare at. Some distant family ties to the name Calvin on John's side, but more because it was different and we both liked it. I do have to admit Danny, that Daniel was the next name on our short list. You can call him Calvin or Cal, but I've already nixed John's brother calling him CW or C Dub. The kids will most likely shorten it to Cal eventually - they call Betsy "Bets" and Millie "Mil", so I doubt they'll bother to say the whole two syllable "Calvin". Walker, because Jack's middle name is Brooke and we decided to stick with surnames for boy middle names and Walker is from John's mom's side. The kids are definitely enjoying having him around. Jack has turned into the surprise with how into the baby he is. He'll sit for 30 to 40 minutes at a time just holding Calvin, feeding him, etc... He's really good at it. I've stopped short of allowing him to burb the baby..... he is only 5 after all. Kind of sad to know that this is the last tiny little baby in the house, last time I'll be up every two hours to feed a bottle, last time I'll be putting all the cute little clothes on a baby...... but then Mom hits me upside the head. Love to all! Kristin

yes, congratulations, and i can see why when you see Calvin you might anticipate missing having a little one when he is grown,. . . but do i need to repost your response when i put too many days on the baby pool? It fell somewhat short of a glowing advertisement for the leadup to having a baby. . .
but here he is. . . hooray!!!

I can't even stand how cute Jack is with him! Maybe if I'm lucky, my sister will let me come on the trip down for the christening too!
