Here is an actual copied email that my father sent me. This is the extent of the communication I have had with them. I sent him an email asking how the vacaction was and what they have done, rather than give me any updates, pictures, etc, here is the response:

We were starting to think Kevin really had been abducted by aliens--and that Michael was covering it up by inventing these communications, but then Marathon Man himself posted a comment to the chain. Of course, he didn't provide any actual news. . .so we still have no proof that Betty, Mary, Megan, and Maddie have not been x-filed.
Kevin--it would help us really believe you are not all orbiting earth in a pod if you came north with the family for Christmas. C-mon--prove to us you are real!!!! Like David Duchovny, I want to believe. (Although I don't share his other problems!)

When I was a kid living and we lived at Grammy & Papa's for awhile, Kevin used to have this computer (one of the first I'm sure) that he used to put the handset of the phone into & work. Maybe he'a trying to find that computer again to post.!

I am surprised he has not retaliated yet. I spoke to him last night on the phone and he said he had just checked the blog. He also said he wasn't surprised that his sister (and Susan), thought my story was hilarious. Surprisingly, I have still yet to get an answer on why he needed to so desperately check his voicemail. I asked him again last night, and he somehow changed the subject without my even realizing it...hes very good at that. I found out very little about their overall trip as well, and apparently he said they hardly took any pictures. I am beginning to wonder if our suspicions are true, that he was kidnapped by aliens who were planning the demise of our economy and he was waiting on a voicemail from the president...who knows? We will see if he posts any updates or pictures.
I have also been pestering my family and sisters to get involved on the blog, but haven't got them to get on and just do it yet. Mary has said she does not know how to get on and post anything, which is hard to believe considering my sisters mastery of facebook and wall-posting. Nevertheless, megan, if you could resend or post the instructions you initally sent that tell exactly how to set up an account, then my sisters would have no more excuses.
I think the only way my family can make up for the lack of participation is to make a trip up to NY for Christmas. You guys should defintitely guilt trip them into it, it has been a while since we were there for the holidays. Be DIM or be abducted by aliens.

On to Christmas - I think the SE region has some work to do to restore their family visibility (through no fault of your own of course). I don't see any other solution but an appearance over the Christmas Holiday. I think a DIM Family reunion could happen - if we build it, they will come?
Michael--i think you have hit on the only plausible explanation.
Kevin has been waiting for a call from the president--and/or the candidates.
