"Ireland Hit By Scorcher"

Yes, that really is the headline news here. The TV broadcaster proclaimed "Ireland hit by scorcher". Then, he almost screeched in a high pitch voice, but with a charming brogue "It was SEVENTY-FAIVE degrees FAIRENHITE today!" (i'm trying to spell that with a brogue. lol) Anyway, not a cloud in the sky... We drove to Dublin yesterday. Long day...but it was very sentimental for me. We took the tour of Dublin Castle, walked past our place on Parliament St., Christchurch, etc. Lots of fun. We also went to the Writer's Museum and St Patrick's and other wonderful places. We didn't get back to Atehnry until after 11pm. So, we are hanging out in Athenry today. Tomorrow we will go to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. We did take the ferry to the Aran Island of Inish Mor and rented bikes. yES, I rented a bike too and we rode the whole way around the island. A lovely day. I tried my Irish language skills a bit. People did a double take, but then responded kindly in Irish, which was usually the end of the conversation. We all raised a Guinness in the Temple Bar Pub in Temple Bar. Walked by the Auld Dubliner where we spent our last evening in October. I am probably a bit annoying to the boys in Dublin, since I kept exclaiming, "I remember this place!" and "This was where we had the best oatmeal in the morning" etc. Hope all is well. Everything perfect here. Particularly the GPS!! We cook most dinners in the cottage, but somehow the food just doesn't taste as good as when Nancy was here. Oh well.
